- Received over $5 million in US Government funding for university partnerships in Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Egypt for Ph.D, MBA and BBA, faculty development, faculty/ student exchange, and business women and others (1995-2008) plus $167,000 research grant.

Bio
Professor Bijan Fazlollahi is a teacher and a researcher at the Robinson College of Business. He serves as the Director of Center for Business Development in Transitional Economics. He directs several U.S. Government and privately funded university partnership projects for the establishment of BBA, MBA, MS, and Ph.D. programs in Egypt, Azerbaijan and the Republic of Georgia. His latest grants are from the USAID for Ph.D. in Georgia and for BBA in Egypt. In the past he directed the Leadership Training Program for Businesswomen in Georgia as well as many other projects in the Caucasus.
He was awarded Honorary Citizen of Georgia in November 2004. He received three Honorary Doctorate degrees in the past several years. He also served as Fulbright scholar in the former USSR. His research is in the field of Information Systems and Decision Support Systems. His recent work is in the application of Soft Computing (GA, ANN, IA, and Fuzzy Logic) to Decision Support Systems.
He has published in Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Sciences, Decision Support Systems, Information and Management, Interfaces, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, International Journal of Intelligent Systems, Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, and Soft Computing Journal. He is coauthor of Soft Computing and its Applications in Business and Economics, Springer 2004 and the editor of Strategies for eCommerce, IRM Press, 2002 as well as contributor to Soft Computing Agents, Edited by Vincenzo Loia, 2002.
Bijan teaches International Business, Global operations and Logistics, and Information systems courses in the U.S. and abroad. He has taught in Azerbaijan, Egypt, Georgia, Poland, South Africa and Iran. He has also taken part in organizing International Conferences in Germany, Turkey, Cyprus, and Uzbekistan. Bijan is experienced in consulting for and management of business and government organizations. In the U.S., he consulted for the Atlanta International Airport and Atlanta police Department.
Dr. Fazlollahi received BS degree from MIT and MBA and Ph.D. degrees from Syracuse University. He also served as Engineer in the US and General Manager, Plant Manager, Ports and Navigation Operations Director and Chief Engineer for various organizations in Iran.
